The lady in the looking-glass
Based on Virginia Woolf's short story of the same title, this project in progress explores the tension between appearance and truth through a visual and scenic universe that inhabits the text without illustrating it literally.
Shoes Studies
A series of gouache studies focused on shoes and legs, isolated against empty backgrounds.
Colour Studies
Quick, near-daily gouache studies exploring colour through loose brushstrokes, with many figures drawn from paintings — often Renaissance works. A practice more than a project, closer to a visual diary.
